You must visit this site!

That's a pretty bossy title, but it is very true. I am so happy to have stumbled across a wonderful site: Gimundo - Good News Served Daily.

When you get to the site, you can scroll through the various articles. I bet you'll find something that will bring a smile to your face. There are several places to check out, but I had to stop at the videos first. You have to take a look at the video about Faith, the Two-Legged Dog. Faith really rose to the occasion; she overcame a horrible disability. And, watching the video, I swear she has done it all with a huge smile on her face.

Sooooooo Sweet

I'm not sure if you've seen this blog yet. It's called Cute Things Falling Asleep. Click on the blog's name to check it out. You'll be instantly charmed by uber cutie pies in various stages of fighting sleep. Now, if the poor ittle sleepy babies don't make you smile...Mick Malis' explanation of why human babies don't score so well probably will make you laugh out loud.

As for me, my son was kind enough to give me his cold for my birthday. I am choosing to be thankful for cold medicine and lotion-laden tissues...even while I feel like I'm going to hack my lungs out or pee my pants each time I cough.

Hope your day is going well...and is peed-pant-free.

How's this for Inspiration?

What is with the news today? Bad stuff must really sell papers...or ad spots on tv....because the news reports all seem to focus on the negative aspects of life. I did finally read an article from USA Today that seemed to be positive, even though it still touched on the "woes" of the financial world today.

You can check the entire article out here: Financial woes inspire acts of kindness

The gist of it is this: some business owners are doing very nice things for their employees or potential customers. My favorite was the flower shop owner that randomly picks two or three people to whom he delivers free flowers. Now that would certainly make someone smile.

Happy, Happy Birthday to Me

It's that time of year again. My birthday. I so love my birthday. (Please note the sarcasm.) Some people don't like their birthdays because they dread getting older. I don't. I don't mind another year older and another year wiser...my hair can't get much more grey. I don't like my birthday because I have what I believe to be called The Birthday Curse. I think it started when I was younger and my dad, it seemed, was always out of town on my birthday. Nothing truly terribly horrid has happened on my birthday, just little yuckies that add up to the curse.

I've heard of others who have had much worse cases of The Birthday Curse...including a kid who began his curse with a hurricane devistating his hometown on his special day. He went on to have a dolphin at a theme park bite him on his birthday (making National Headlines) one year. Last year this poor boy thought he escaped The Curse, as the day passed without remarkable weather or personal injury. But, one of his birthday gifts was ice skating lessons, and he broke his leg in the first 10 minutes of the first class.

So, it could be worse.
